Job Shadow Day with Junior Achievement Students

by Shea Homes Northern California on May 29, 2012

We had the privilege of hosting a student shadow day at our Montage community in Livermore for 20 Junior Achievement students from Fremont.

Some of the Shea team met the student’s for a tour of Montage, taking them through the conceptualization of a home, the land planning, the building and framing process, the plan drawing essentials, the walk-through basics and finally a fully furnished ready-to-sell home. These high school students are specializing in architecture and hope to work in the building industry someday. They were encouraged to be up close and personal with their passions and the students were able to ask questions and further their knowledge of this great industry.

The students had a great day and learned so much about Shea Homes and the building industry. They were thankful for the experience and were hopeful to visit again.

We were lucky enough to partner with BIA and PWB who host this great career advancement event.

For more information and photos from the event please visit our Facebook page.
