Final Balance at Sage Release with Last Chance to Personalize!

by Shea Homes Northern California on May 8, 2017

Balance at Sage | Shea Homes | Livermore, California
The popular Sage community located in Livermore, California, has seen tremendous success since opening in 2016. Sage by Shea Homes® recently received 6 awards from the Building Industry Association, and with good reason – the Sage community is already a wonderful and relaxing place to call home. Over 200 homes are now sold at Sage, and community facilities and amenities are well underway, including the pool, spas, fitness center and club house, which are planned to open to residents this summer.

While each home type at Sage offers something unique, the two-story Balance homes have proved the most popular, and as a result, they are nearly sold out. In fact, the final release of Balance homes (with exception of the designer model homes) is scheduled to be released on Saturday, May 13th at 11AM. This is the last opportunity to fully personalize a Balance home with the Shea Design team.

In order to purchase a Balance home, interested parties must pre-qualify with Shea Mortgage. Call (866) 696-7432 or EMAIL US to learn more. Follow Sage on Facebook and register to receive community updates so that you stay in-the-know.

Southern California Backyard Trends!

by Shea Homes Southern California on May 1, 2017

Easter has already come and gone, which means summer isn’t too far behind! When our SoCal weather goes from 75 to a balmy 90 degrees, the backyard is where we spend most of our time with family and friends. Making sure your yard is spruced, groomed, and spackled always makes for a more enjoyable outdoor experience.

But, how do we transform our yards into proper hangout areas in the year 2017? With a little bit of elbow grease and creativity, your yard will be the most popular place to party this summer.

Small Yard, No Problem

Say your outdoor space is on a smaller scale, that doesn’t mean it can’t be a trendy, comfortable spot to relax with your friends. Try out some of these decor ideas!

Water Features. Installing a fountain is the perfect sensory feature to liven up your small yard. Installing spouts, like the one shown in the below outdoor patio, makes for a tranquil place to dive into a good book and get some peace and quiet.

Lighting. A simple fix to making your small yard feel more inviting and open is hanging up some elegant, twinkling lights. Not only do they make evenings feel more cozy and fun, but by stretching them across your yard, it enhances the feeling of spacious bliss. Plus, your guests will love them! Details

Rooftop Deck. There’s nothing cooler than hanging out on the roof with your best buds, (as the show Friends has taught us). Even if your outdoor space is small, the perks of being up high means having a killer view and an awesome place to have movie night.

The Bigger, The Better

For those of you with more sizable yards, here are some trendy projects for you to sink your teeth into this summer. We’re especially loving the idea of putting in a pond!

Electronics. The age of technology is the world we currently live in, and there’s nothing more hip than having a TV installed in your backyard. Want to have a family movie night outside? 2017 says you should be watching Frozen outdoors under the stars. Details

Bar Tops. If you really want to get the party started this summer, installing a cool bar top is always a brilliant idea. It creates more seating for your guests, makes for a great place to display food and drinks, and will be the focal point of any special occasion you host! How gorgeous is the one below at The Landing?!

Ponds. It may take a bit more work than installing a TV, but adding a beautiful water feature like a charming pond (with some turtles or fish!) could be exactly what your backyard needs to showcase some serious pizzazz. Details

Mosaic Tables. Whether your outdoor space is large or small, these exotic beauties are making a triumphant comeback in backyards everywhere in 2017. If you’re yard is looking drab, a little pop of color patterns will go a long way! Details

Summer’s not here yet, so you still have time to get ready! We hope some of these trendy features make your backyard the coolest place to be in 2017.
