Excitement was in the air at this annual celebration as the first awards of the night were given out. Josh Miller, “Sales Rookie of the Year”, received the first Shea award of the night. A newbie to the industry, Josh took on the primary responsibility of two new Shea communities at The Dunes on Monterey Bay® in 2015. The success of this new community is a testament to his hard work and dedication. Jennifer Chlebicki and Julie Rubay, received the next award “Sales Team of the Year” – which was well deserved, and long overdue, for this dynamic duo. [read more…]

California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) recently recognized Shea Homes for outstanding achievement in the area of workplace health and safety.
Cal/OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program – Construction (VPPC) recognizes companies who have implemented health and safety programs that effectively prevent and control occupational hazards. These companies go beyond minimal Cal/OSHA standards and provide the best feasible protection at the worksite. VPPC companies, like Shea Homes, are considered workplace health and safety leaders in the construction industry. Umbria by Shea Homes in Mountain House, was one of the first communities to receive this high honor.
Shea Homes is proud to be a VPPC recipient. This was truly a collaborative team effort, including OSHA, Shea Homes and our trade partners.. “Safety is the Shea way,” says Ed Calderon, Shea Homes Northern California Safety Manager. Shea Homes fosters a culture of safety with their “Nobody Gets Hurt Today” Program. One of Shea’s top priorities is to ensure that everyone working on a Shea construction site safely returns home to their families at the end of each day.
Shea Homes of Charlotte is excited to announce our receipt of a Silver Award for Best Interior Merchandising in the 2016 National Sales and Marketing Awards! The National Association of Home Builder’s Sales and Marketing Council awards the builders they feel are the best in the industry. Builders are chosen based on their determination, integrity, creativity, and endurance. Receiving one of these coveted awards for our Grayson Model in Atherton is truly a great honor.
Our Grayson model incorporates many unique and trending features. Some of these features are subtle, like the tiled stair risers, and some are more bold, like the incredible owner’s suite spa bathroom. The Grayson doesn’t waste any time in setting itself apart, upon entry you’ll notice a barn door, foyer flooring that will take your breath away, and a glimpse of the waterfall granite that is the star of the kitchen. Throughout the home we’ve included many of the trending gray color schemes in the tile, accessories, and even in the family room’s built ins. We encourage you to take the virtual tour below and see for yourself!
“The Nationals are the most prestigious awards of their kind, setting the benchmark for innovations in new home design, marketing and sales,” said Christy Beck, chairperson of the Nationals. “NAHB’s commitment to recognizing originality, imagination and success has been exemplified by its award winners since the competition’s inception.”

The Arizona Cardinals may not be headed to the Super Bowl, but what a season it was! We like to think that maybe, just maybe, we had a little something to do with it (wink, wink). As a proud partner of the team, we had a blast sharing our enthusiasm for the Arizona Cardinals – in the stadium, at the office, and in all of our Shea Homes Arizona communities.
Let’s start by taking a look at where it all began… the Ultimate Fan Cave.
The basement of a model home in Peoria’s Vista Montaña community was where it all began. When Rich Tomey, business development manager of the Arizona Cardinals, saw the fan cave decked out with everything a Cards fan could desire — from oversized lounge chairs, to framed jerseys, a football field carpet and the best of the Arizona Cardinals replaying on the big screen – he reached out to Shea Homes to explore the possibility of a partnership. As it turns out, Shea Homes and the Arizona Cardinals were a perfect match!

Hard to believe, but it’s already been eight years since BackCountry’s grand opening.
