Get outside! 5 Ways to Make the Most of February and March in the Valley

by Shea Homes Arizona on February 5, 2016

While much of the country is still digging out from a cold and snowy winter, we Arizonans are gearing up for some serious fun in the sun. From outdoor concerts to festivals and spring training, there are a whole lot of outdoor activities to get excited about.

Get your tickets to the Good Life Festival

Food trucks, a vendor village, and a concert by the Band Perry are a few reasons why you won’t want to miss the popular Good Life Festival, taking place on March 5 at our very own Encanterra Country Club in San Tan Valley. While you’re there, be sure to stroll through the model homes for music and wine tasting. Tickets are available at thegoodlifefest.com

Visit the Desert Botanical Garden

Escape from reality and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Desert Botanical Garden. Start with an iced tea and bite to eat at Gertrude’s, then stroll the garden at your leisure. If you haven’t yet experienced the Bruce Munro: Sonoran Light at the Desert Botanical Garden installation, it’s not too late. Just be sure you visit before its last day on February 27.

Spend a Day at the Arizona Renaissance Festival

Embrace your inner lord or lady, and get your feasting and merriment on at the annual Arizona Renaissance Festival. Wear comfortable shoes (you’ll have 30 acres to cover), apply plenty of sunscreen, and come hungry! Because after all, it’s not really a day at the Renaissance Festival unless you treat yourself to a giant turkey leg.

The arrival of the Waste Management Phoenix Open (Feb. 1-7) is a great reminder to schedule a tee time and enjoy an afternoon on the golf course. And if you’re ready to make a move to a community where the golf course is right outside your front door, we invite you to check out our homes in the resort-style, master-planned community of Inspire at Estrella in Goodyear.

Catch a Spring Training Game
