Heart of the Home

by Shea Homes Arizona on November 16, 2012

Famous English restaurant architect Terence Conran, in his book titled “The Kitchen Book,” said “A kitchen provides physical and spiritual nourishment, and for many homes is now the heart and soul of family life.”

Our customers couldn’t agree more. We know this because Shea Homes is so committed to discovering what our customers are looking for that we do focus groups, surveys and face to face meetings to get their feedback. That research is then included in Shea Homes’ design criteria and our customers resoundingly have said- the kitchen is the heart of the home.

Because the kitchen and the rooms that feed into it are of such high priority to our customers, we at Shea Homes are committed to making sure the living spaces interact well together.

We ensure that the great room is large enough to accommodate a growing family as they gather, that the kitchen and eating area is open and free flowing and that it rolls into the outdoor living space comfortably. The Shea architecture team goes to great lengths to make the transition between outdoor and indoor living smooth and enjoyable by focusing on the exterior window and door placement in order to maximize the natural lighting.

With the focus we put on maximizing outside lighting, customers can rest assured that all Shea Homes are Energy Star rated and most have guaranteed utility costs through our Environments For Living (EFL) program.

This is just one example of how Shea Homes is committed to building quality homes that our customers desire and that encourage creating memories together.
