Seven things you won’t want to miss in the West Valley this Fall

Normally, on the Shea Homes blog we love to cover all of the latest news and info about building science, our communities and homes around the Valley. Today, we’re taking a break to bring you a list of some of the exciting happenings around the West Valley this fall. Here are just a few of the events that make Arizona a fun and exciting place to call home: 

1)      Multi-platinum funk rock legends, Red Hot Chili Peppers take the stage at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, September 25, 8:00 p.m. Tickets start at $40 and can be purchased via phone 1 (800) 745-3000 or online by visiting TicketMaster.com.

2)      Looking for a little more pop in your evening? Justin Bieber will perform Saturday, September 29 at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale alongside upcoming superstar, Carly Rae Jepsen. Tickets start at $88 and can be purchased on the Ticket Network Direct.

3)      Who’s ready for some Sunday night football? On September 9, watch the Arizona Cardinals take on the Seahawks in their first regular season home game. Get your tickets before they’re gone from the NFL box office.

4)      If you’re looking for a fun music and food filled day, this is it! Oktoberfest on the Front Lawn of the Wigwam in Litchfield Park on Saturday, September 22, begins at 10:00 a.m. and offers an authentic feast of German foods and decadent desserts as well as beers and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy. As a family friendly event, the festival will also feature a special kids area and games as well as a “best German outfit” contest. Entry is $10 per person, kids under 12 free.

5)      Looking for a little adventure and maybe a little nostalgia too? AMC Westgate 20 in Glendale is hosting an Indiana Jones Marathon Saturday, September 15, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Earlier in the week, (Sept. 7-13), catch Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, completely restored  on the IMAX screen! 6)      “The Four Levels of Comedy: Make your friends laugh, Make strangers laugh, Get paid to make strangers laugh, and Make people talk like you because it’s so much fun.” Catch some laughs with Jerry Seinfeld Saturday, September 22 at Comerica Theatre. Tickets can be purchased starting at $33 at Ticket Network Direct.

7)      Looking for a different kind of laugh? Check out the Tony Award-winning masterpiece by Neil Simon, The Odd Couple at Arizona Broadway Theatre in Peoria, playing September 7 – October 7 this Fall. The show follows the antics and adventures of Felix Ungar, a neurotic, neat freak news writer who moves in with his friend Oscar Madison, a messy sportswriter after being ousted from the house by his wife.
