Take a (virtual) walk in Reunion Park

by Shea Homes Colorado on September 2, 2015

As many Reunion residents know, a stroll through this lovely, 52-acre park is a delightful way to start or end your day. But for those who don’t yet indulge in this daily pleasure, we invite you on this virtual walk.

Reunion Park is the crown jewel of the community—although you’ll find no shortage of beautiful, natural spaces woven throughout the neighborhood. In fact, Reunion boasts 150 acres of parks, 10 miles of trails and 170 acres of open space. But the largest and most diverse space is Reunion Park.

Reunion FountainOne of the best perks of the park is the panoramic mountain view, featuring Longs Peak—the highest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park—which is, happily, a mere 1.5 hours northwest of Reunion.

Reunion In The PinesAs an established community (since 2005), Reunion offers residents tall, shady trees to enjoy along the trails and in grassy areas for an impromptu picnic. Or choose from well-appointed, designated picnic areas.

8 Acres of Lakes at Reunion ParkEight acres of lakes and waterfalls add a dose of serenity to any stroll.

Soccer Fields at Reunion ParkBall fields are put to very good use, thanks to an active sports schedule for children and adults at the Reunion Rec Center, capably managed by the YMCA.

Playground at Reunion ParkWelcome to Kid Central. A well-equipped, fun place for kids (and their chatting parents) to forge lasting friendships with others in the same stage of life.

Reunion Recreation CenterBehind those quaint barn doors lies a state-of-the-art, 21,000-square-foot rec center —your neighborhood HQ for connection and activity. Offering classes from art to Zumba, a pool with 100-foot slide, fitness center, full-court gym, and more.

Reunion Rec Center Up CloseIn 2004, the facility won the Recreation Management Innovative Architecture & Design Award, cited for its “clear reflection of the community’s [rural] philosophy.”

Small Barn at Reunion ParkThis mini-version of the rec center features a wrap-around deck that overlooks the soccer fields. With restrooms and locker rooms, it’s a handy addition to park activities.

Movie Night at Reunion ParkWith generous open space, Reunion Park is an ideal place for community celebrations, such as the Red White & Blue Fest at the Fourth of July and Movie Nights.

Reunion Park is a gorgeous neighborhood resource, usable in so many ways—from contemplative walks to high-energy soccer games to community-wide parties. If you’re not a Reunion resident yet, go take a walk and see what life is like here. Those Longs Peak views are there for everyone to enjoy.
