Tour most model homes and what you see isn’t what you get.

by Shea Homes Northern California on May 3, 2011

Visit a Shea home in Northern California and you’ll experience a higher standard of amenities. Instead of stripping away features and upgrades in our new homes to save on building costs, as many homebuilders do in the midst of a recession, at Shea Homes, we’ve decided to turn the tables. Every floorplan and feature is meticulously reviewed by the senior management team to make sure it satisfies the future homeowners’ needs. Features that are typically upgrades come standard in a Shea home and are part of the base price of the home. The homebuyer does not have to pay extra for these exceptional features.

In our San Francisco Bay Area communities, you’ll find granite slab kitchen countertops, Whirlpool® stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, 16”x16” tile flooring, two-tone paint, wiring for a home theater and detailed millwork. Shea’s standards are sensitive to the environment as well, which is why you’ll find Energy Star® appliances and lighting, energy efficient windows with low e-glass and elongated water saving toilets included at no additional cost. Visit a Northern California Shea home located in Santa Clara, Oakley, Mountain House, Mountain View, and Livermore and see for yourself.

We have visited the Antigua, Compania and Esplanade in Mountain House, CA. We are looking to build in the Spring (as soon as we sell our current home). We toured many of your homes as well as other builders. The other builders gave us a list of what was standard and what were upgrades. I know it is difficult to price upgrades until we are writing a contract, but can you send me a list of what is standard (kitchen island, granite, flooring, etc.)? I would like to compare what I am getting at a base price for each builder so we can make an informed decision. Thanks.

I would like to have similar information about upgrade pricing if it is available.

Thank you.
