Wedding Registry Items You’ll Regret If Your Forget

by Shea Homes Arizona on June 28, 2013

While weddings should be an enjoyable time to wallow in your everlasting love with your fiancé, they inevitably turn out to be the ultimate stress test of your relationship. From the cake to the dress to the venue, the decisions are endless. So while we are coming to a close in our wedding week, we thought that we would help our newlyweds out there make decisions on their registry items!  Nothing would be worse than post-wedding stress because you realize you forgot to register an essential home item! Here is a list of items to NOT forget:

Tech Savvy Crockpot:  For those long days that you and your loved one are hung up at the office, strike up a quick hodge-podge recipe to throw into the crockpot, turn it on low and let it cook all day! Voilà! You’ve got a delicious dinner that proves the way to a man’s heart is his stomach. www.bedbathandbeyond.com1

Essential Kitchen Helper:  Just like the name says, this kitchen kit is truly essential to all of your cooking needs! Say goodbye to tedious slicing and dicing and arm-wrenching whisking with these gadgets!

Cordless Drill: Whether you’re engaged or just married, you’ve most likely moved in together already, and one of the best ways to bond is to get working on that home décor! A cordless drill is essential during this process. With artwork, photos and shelves galore it is imperative you don’t forget to register for this tool!

Christmas Decorations: Who would have thought! Decking the halls in your home can get expensive and decorations are usually overlooked when registering for wedding gifts. This way, you’ll actually SAVE money come the Christmas season! However, note the time of year because most stores will not be selling holiday home décor in May.

Luggage: Similar to Christmas décor, luggage often goes unnoticed when registering for wedding gifts and it can get very costly! 2Receiving a sturdy set of luggage is perfect timing for that tropical, 10-day honeymoon you’ll be going on.

Vacuum or Carpet Steamer:  While getting a vacuum doesn’t sound as exciting as getting that snow cone machine, they are essential to a functioning household. Dyson’s DC39 vacuum has an adjustable handle and is designed for pet hair!

Mandoline Slicer:  In a professional chef’s kitchen, you’ll find one of these great gadgets. Without a mandoline, it’s near impossible to evenly slice a anything and when you use this once, 3you’ll wonder how you’ve ever lived without it! For ease in the kitchen and impressed dinner guests, don’t forget to register a mandolin!

Gifts Cards: Let your guests know that gifts cards will be accepted just as much as any item on your registry. If they’re in a time crunch and don’t have time to shop around at Crate and Barrel, they can just pick up a gift card! This way, for those items you wish you had but forgot to register, you’ve got the credit to cover it!
