Are you prepared for an emergency…if you’re in your car?

by Jennifer Ivy on September 24, 2012

Did you know September is National Preparedness Month?

Many of us spend a lot of time in our cars. Driving to work and appointments; driving kids here and there; or just running the typical errands of life.

In conjunction with National Preparedness Month, Shea Homes San Diego is offering free Survival Pouches to the first 25 homeowners – and buyers in escrow — who request one from their sales office.

These 5.5” x 2” x 3” pouches are designed to fit easily into the glove compartment of a car, and contain basic essentials such as:

•  Emergency blanket

•  First aid kit

•  Compass

•  Rain Poncho

In collaboration with the American Red Cross, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention has an excellent website to answer common questions about preparing for unexpected events.

Visit:  Emergency Preparedness and You for information on:

If you live in an active Shea community in San Diego  — or if you’re currently in escrow — please stop by the sales office for your pouch. [Note: Limit 25 in each community; first come, first served.]
