Fireworks Shows around the Valley

For those of you who will be in the Valley of the Sun to celebrate our nation’s independence, here is a list of great spots to watch fireworks on the Fourth!


Freedom Wireless Fabulous Phoenix Fourth:  Phoenix’s 25th Annual Fourth of July event at Steele Indian School Park will have three stages with live entertainment, a Kids World activity area including inflatables, a classic car exhibit and fireworks, from 6 to 9:30 p.m.. Baseball and Fireworks: The Diamondbacks will play their final game in a three game series with the Padres at 6:40 p.m. at Chase Field. Tickets at a variety of prices are still available for the evening which will also feature fireworks at the end of the game.

East Valley: 

Tempe Town Lake Festival: Beginning at 4 p.m., the festival will include an inflatable village with rock climbing walls, face painting, relay races, rides and entertainment for kids as well as water games at the Splash Playground. A variety of summery food choices will be available for purchase. From 4:30 to 11 p.m., live bands will perform pop, rock and country music on the Main Stage. Bring blankets and chairs for seats on the lawn for the fireworks show set to patriotic and classical music. “A Star Spangled Shootout” at Rawhide: Celebrate 5:30-11 p.m. with cowboys, gunfights and food, along with live music throughout the Western-themed town. Watch the fireworks display after sundown. Admission is $10, free for children ages 5 and younger. Rawhide at Wild Horse Pass, 5700 W. North Loop Road, Gila River Reservation. For more information, visit or call 480-502-5600.

West Valley: 

Pool Party:  Open to the first 400 Surprise residents, this family event includes games, activities, popcorn and a poolside view of the city’s annual fireworks display from 5-8:30 p.m. $6. Surprise Aquatic Center, 15831 N. Bullard Ave. For more information, visit or call 623-266-4644. 

Litchfield Park 4th of July Splash Bash: From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. enjoy this family friendly event including swimming and games and family entertainment. Food and beverages are available for purchase. Luke Air Force Base will provide a F16 Flyover the City at about 6:45 p.m. $2 per person. Litchfield Park Pool at 100 S. Old Litchfield Rd. For more information, visit or call 623-935-9040. 

All American Festival: The Peoria Sports Complex  will host a large-scale fireworks show as well as live music and an all-star baseball game, 5-10 p.m. Get soaked in the Water Zone and enjoy a special activities area for children. $5 for age 13 and older.
