Fast Times at Shea Homes: How We Keep Up with Technology

Here at Shea Homes Arizona we are always keeping things fresh and up to date with the fast-changing technology world. This way, we keep our homebuyers informed, intrigued and satisfied with our efficient sales and marketing methods. Here is a list of some of the technologies we use in our communities’ sales offices: kinect

  • iPads – For our team on the move, iPads are a great addition to the sales office technology. Rather than being stuck in the sales offices, these innovations allow our sales team and customers to roam the community models with presentation tools at their fingertips. Floors plans, interior photos, exterior photos, videos and virtual tours are among the visual aids we present to community guests.
  • Apple TV – This appliance allows the Community Representatives to share what appears on their iPad screen on the flat screen TVs throughout each model. This way, several community guests can gather around a larger screen and discuss the homes in a group with their sales representative.
  • Flickr – Flickr is a photo sharing application that allows us to set up photo collections for our homeowners. Through these private accounts, requiring a guest pass, they can see the progress of their home’s construction, model photos, community photos, design photos, etc. Flickr makes photo sharing more convenient to share photos with your family and friends, where you can email a link rather than uploading large attachments.
  • Microsoft Kinect – This interactive system allows guests at the community to control the flat screen TVs with their hand through motion detectors on the console. We use this system in the sales office so guests can look through photos and stream videos from our YouTube channel. They can instantly be informed about floor plans, pricing, elevations, design and the communities. See us demonstrate how to use Microsoft Kinect in this video!
  • Space Planner – It can be a big deal breaker if the furniture you currently own will not fit perfectly in the floor plan you spaceplannerwanted. So before you decide to purchase your new home, we recommend that you use the Shea Homes online Space Planner. This easy-to-get-to gadget gives you the ability to visualize key features of your layout and floor plan, placing and modifying furniture and fixtures of your home any way you’d like.   • DSA – The DSA, short for ‘Digital Sales Assistant’, can be found in every community sales office, we provide a large pen touch flat screen, with a large “magic pen” that displays several informative aspects of home buying. When guests walk in, they can use the pen to click through Shea Homes’ history, statements from previous home buyers about their experience, community overviews, site maps showing floor plans and elevations, and Google maps so you can see what’s around the communities.   • iPhone Applications – Shea Homes was the first builder in Arizona to create an app for customers and potential customers. The free app features information about all of our current and upcoming communities, floor plans, pricing, square footages and exterior elevation images. With the tap of your finger, call or email to get directions to a community and you will be alerted for any community updates. The Shea SPACES app offers the same features for our hip and urban SPACES designs that you can find in Gilbert, AZ. Both apps combined have a total of over 1,400 downloads!
