What’s going on in the East Valley?

by Shea Homes Arizona on July 12, 2012

We love our East Valley communities and we’re excited about all that’s going on this summer on that side of town! Here are some of our favorites, but be sure to comment below if you know of other fun Gilbert or other East Valley happenings.

Sangria Social: Today, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., learn how signature olive oils are made and cool off at the Queen Creek Olive Mill with their famous Red, White and Signature Sangria. Hinnant Family Vineyards will also offer complimentary wine tasting.

A morning at the farm: Take a trip to Mother Nature’s Farm. It offers U-pick gardens during the month of July. Perfect for a morning trip with or without the kiddos and a great way to taste some of the freshest produce around.

Disney’s Alice in Wonderland: Take a wild, musical ride through Wonderland with Alice and her friends when Broadway Palm Children’s Theatre presents Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr. The cast of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr. will answer questions, pose for pictures and sign autographs following the show. Performances begin July 5th and run through July 29th.

NightSplash at SunSplash: Every Friday and Saturday in July, from 7pm – 11pm, SunSplash will open for the evening for a special NightSplash at a discounted admission price of just $15.59. The attached Golfland and arcades also offer packages for friends and family who want to stop in for a few rounds of Laser Tag or mini-golf.

Earth, Wind and Fire: For those looking for a good throwback to the 70’s and 80’s, Earth Wind and Fire will be performing at Mesa Arts Center on Wednesday, August 1 at 7:30. For tickets and more information, visit: www.mesaartscenter.com.

Summer Movie Fun: Kids can enjoy a movie a week at 9:45 a.m. for 10 weeks throughout the summer on weekdays, for less than $1 per film, until August 3 at Harkins SanTan Village 16. See www.harkinstheaters.com for a schedule of films. Tickets are first come first serve.
