BackCountry – Let The Adventure Begin

by Sheri Troy on July 20, 2011

There has never been a new home community in Colorado quite like BackCountry. When you visit Colorado’s premier gated community, you’ll see why BackCountry is — Wild at Heart. This breathtaking, gated Shea Homes’ community is nestled in some of the last available land in Highlands Ranch, Colorado; land that borders 8,200 acres of untamed wilderness. Featuring a variety of home styles and price ranges – BackCountry is located close to the best that Highlands Ranch has to offer. Easy access to C-470 puts you minutes away from Highlands Ranch business parks, as well as Inverness, the Denver Tech Center, and other Metro-Denver business hubs.

Where The ‘Wild at Heart’ Have Found A Home

The exclusivity of BackCountry begins at the gated entry. Drive through the community and you will see a wide range of beautiful home styles to appeal to every taste, from luxury villas to custom luxury homes. While the architecture is varied, one design element is a constant — every home in BackCountry has been designed to take full advantage of the magnificent surroundings, with easy access to open spaces, a quiet afternoon in the park, or an adventure in the wilderness just steps away.

BackCountry is really a cluster of unique, small neighborhoods, adding to the intimacy and shared experience of living in such a special place. Natural waterways course through the community. And best of all, many homes back to open space, offering a private environment inside and astonishing access to the natural world outside.

Of Course You Can Hear The Natural World Calling You.  It’s Right Outside Your Door.

As a homeowner here, just outside your door, a private enclave of 467 wild acres awaits. A variety of trails connect the homes to the parks and the community’s crown jewel — the Sundial House. Follow the trails farther, and you’re soon entering the remainder of the 8,200-acre adventure known as the Backcountry Wilderness Area.*

We have said BackCountry was “years in the planning and centuries in the execution.” And once you see just how different this community is from any other, we think you’ll agree.

*Approximately 8,200 acres in the southern part of Highlands Ranch have been designated as Backcountry Wilderness Area (Open Space Conservation Area). This area is dedicated to the preservation of open space, wildlife habitat enhancement, outdoor recreation, and other permitted uses. Of that, 467 acres have been set aside for exclusive, private use for BackCountry residents.

What a great looking area! The use of video in this post really compliments. This looks like a truly beautiful area and bordering such a large piece of forest….. definitely unique. Finding such a property these days is difficult. Looks like it has lots to offer with trails and water ways and and wilderness, whats not to like. Best of Luck! Dave
