Condo Benefits: 5 Reasons Why a Condo May be the Perfect Fit for You

by Shea Homes Arizona on July 28, 2017

Whether you are downsizing or just starting out, condos provide a number of benefits when it comes to your lifestyle and your wallet.

Check out our list of five reasons why a condo may be the perfect fit for you!
Resort Like Amenities

  1. Included Maintenance

If you would like to spend the weekends catching up with friends or kicking up your feet on the sofa with a good book or your most recent binge TV show, condo life may be for you. Association fees usually cover exterior maintenance, freeing you from spending your weekends in the hot sun pulling/spraying weeds or working on your home’s curb appeal.

  1. Amenities

Most condo communities include resort like amenities such as a pool, sauna, hot tub, fitness center, parks, community spaces, etc. As a condo owner, you have the freedom to use these special features, conveniently located within walking distance from your home, without the strain on your water bill. Plus, free gym membership – yes please!

  1. Size

Less space means less square footage to upkeep. With a smaller space, you can get cleaning done in a breeze, making it easier to say yes to last minute company and to stay organized – meaning when you need to find something in a flash, you know right where it is. Plus, a smaller space calls for less furniture, saving you time and money.

  1. Location

Due to the size of condos, compared to homes, many condo communities are located in more urban areas with plenty of shopping, entertainment and dining attractions close by. An ideal setup for weekly grocery shopping, a night out on the town, family fun days or last-minute trips to the store.

  1. Cost

Finally, some condos are less expensive than a three or four bedroom, single-family home, saving you money and making it easier to pay off your home. This lower cost can help you save for the future and experience greater financial peace along the way.

My husband and I want to find a place to live that can just be our own so that we’re not renting anymore. I like how you say that condos are often found in urban areas and are close to restaurants and shops. We’ll have to look at some condos for sale.

I like how you mention that condos are usually closer to urban areas than homes, so there’s always entertainment nearby. I am looking to buy a condo and I really like the appeal of having a lot of amenities and external maintenance, while being close to shopping and dining. I would prefer a condo over an apartment because of condos are typically bigger.

I like how you mentioned checking the amenities when buying a condo. My husband and I want to move out of our apartment and into something nicer. We’re thinking a condo would be nice, so we’ll have to check the amenities.

I like how you mentioned that one of the benefits of living in a condo is that you have the freedom to use the amenities like swimming pool without worrying your water bill. My brother is planning to relocate to urban areas for a job opportunity, and I think that condo living is best for him because he likes swimming. I’ll inform him the advantage of living in a condominium.
