A Day Trip to Remember: Sedona, AZ

Hello Weekend! This is the third in a series meant for the Phoenician weekender looking for a little day trip adventure.

Known for its striking red rocks and desert scenery, Sedona is one of Arizona’s most unique towns. Sedona attracts visitors from all over the world, and for those lucky to enough to live in the Phoenix area, it’s only a two-hour drive, making it the perfect day trip. Whether you’re looking for art, adventure, or spiritual enhancement, you are sure to find something to enjoy while spending the day in Sedona.

For some fun in the sun before it cools off too much, Slide Rock is definitely a spot you won’t want to miss! Open every day, all day, it is a great place to cool off with family and friends. Slide Rock has been named one of Arizona’s 10 best state parks and attracts numerous people every day of the week. Seven miles north of Sedona, the sandstone has been beat down by the water, forming natural slides to ride down and be carried into pools of water throughout the river.
