When we think of the holiday season, we can’t help but think of parties, good food and quality time with friends and family. What is this time of year without a little celebration?

Our new home communities in Northern California are surrounded by fun events for the whole family. Here is a list of holiday events from October – December in your very own backyard!

El Dorado Hills:

10/20 3rd Annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch

  • What are some things you can expect? Carnival games, pumpkin patch, maze, hay rides, crafts, costume party, food and much more! Come on out for a night of Fall celebration.

10/31  Halloween Spooktacular

Mountain House:

10/26 Questa School 2nd Annual Halloween Carnival

  • What to expect? Dinner, costumes, games and more. Bring your kids in their coolest costume and enjoy an evening with friends!

10/26 Witches and Broomsticks: A Girls Night Out! 2012

  • Bring out your broomstick and most stylish hat because Girls Night Out is back!

10/27 Halloween Parade

  • Get your candy bags and costumes ready, join in on the fun Halloween Tracy Tradition of Trick-or-Treating Downtown!

12/1 Holiday Light Parade and Tree Lighting

  • Enjoy the holidays this year in Downtown Tracy with a Light Parade and Tree Lighting Celebration.


10/26 Halloween Masquerade Ball

  • Enjoy a spooktacular evening of entertaining, fine dining and dancing with the Brentwood Senior Citizens Club. Best costume wins a prize!

10/27  Halloween Festival

  • Celebrate “Halloween” style from 11am to 3pm. Enjoy trick-or-treating, carnival games, a pet costume contest and a Pet & Children’s Costume Parade!

11/24 Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

  • Who doesn’t love spending the holidays with a tree lighting ceremony? The festivities begin at 5pm, don’t miss out!


10/27 Downtown Halloween Carnival

  • Costume contests, carnival games, arts & crafts, activity booths, and even some Surprise Fun are what’s in store for you and your family at this 4th annual Halloween Carnival.

12/1 Annual Holiday Sights & Sounds Parade and Tree Lighting

  • Be there when “Bruce Sprucetree” lights up for the first time during the holiday season, and even catch a first glimpse of Santa this year in Downtown Livermore!


10/20 Halloween Brew Crawl

  • Shop along Main Street and sample 25 local beer and food pairingings while enjoying a beautiful fall evening.

10/27 Fall Scavenger Hunt

  • Here’s a classic twist on the old “Trick or Treat” tradition on Halloween. Kids are encouraged to pick up a bag and follow clues that will lead them to their next destination. Costumes are encouraged!

11/17 Magical Holiday Evening

  • Start your holiday shopping and celebrate the season with an evening of holiday festivities!

11/23-12/30 Niles Canyon Railway Train of Lights

  • Travel by Holiday train from Sunol to Fremont on this hour-long ride. Drink some hot chocolate, grab a festive snack and maybe you’ll even sneak a peak of Santa on this train full of holiday lights!


12/1 28th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

  • Kick off the holiday season right with entertainment and caroling while enjoying delicious holiday treats and hot cocoa. Finish off the evening with a tree lighting ceremony and a special performance from the Dublin Unified Elementary School Choir and Wells Middle School Jazz Combo.

12/11 Bay Bells Winter Concert

  • Bay Bells have been entertaining audiences throughout the country for the past 25 years and represent over 200 years of musical experience featuring over 100 bells and chimes, this year they’ll perform Silver Bells!

Mountain View:

10/27 Halloween Monster Bash

  • Come celebrate Halloween with your family, friends and neighbors! An outdoor movie “Monster House” will be featured along with Halloween games, music and light refreshments. Come in costume!

12/3 Community Tree Lighting Celebration

  • Celebrate the holidays and enjoy live music, refreshments, lights and a special appearance by Santa Claus! Children will have a chance to meet Santa and even have their photo taken!
