It all started with a trip to the grocery store.

by Shea Homes Colorado on February 27, 2015

If it weren’t for the over-the-top King Soopers in Commerce City, Dawn and Johnathon Wilson might not have moved to Reunion last December. “We were living in Green Valley Ranch, but driving three miles over to get groceries,” says Dawn. “The Commerce City King Soopers has a great sushi bar and cheese bar. They even sell jewelry and furniture.”

On one of their shopping forays, the couple spied Reunion, with its ponds and statement-making rec center “I’m gonna live there someday,” Dawn declared to her architect dad, as she drove him around the community one day.

What really sealed the deal was the “funkiness” of the Shea SPACES model homes. “The minute we came around the corner, we were saying ‘Whoa, what are these?’ They were so us. We like clean lines with modern, open floor plans and we instantly fell in love. These are the coolest homes,” says Dawn.

The Wilson’s settled on Model 3507, crazy for modern touches like the clear garage doors, vaulted ceiling in the entry, glass gas fireplace and open design that allows for a clear view from front to back. They have lots of wall space for Dawn’s art collection, too, “and the kitchen is perfect,” she says. “There’s a giant island with a seating area where you can look right over into the living area. It’s one cohesive area. We have friends over a lot, so it’s perfect.” [read more…]

Revolutionary New Designs by Shea Homes at Colliers Hill

by Shea Homes Colorado on January 19, 2015

How does a homebuilder dare to be different? Shea Homes dares to be different by offering buyers something they have never seen before. In October of this year Shea Homes debuted its revolutionary new Shea3D™ brand to rave reviews in the new community of Colliers Hill in Erie.  By providing every customer with a unique experience that no other homebuilder is offering, Shea3D™ distinguishes Shea Homes as a design leader in the homebuilding industry.

What is Shea3D™:
The “3D” in Shea3D™ stands for the process in which our customers go through – Dream, Design, and Dwell. Dream: about your new home. Design: the home’s activity zone. Dwell: Live in the dream home you designed. Shea3D™ homes are cutting-edge in that the designs give buyers the flexibility to determine the shape and function of the most critical part of their home.

Have you ever toured a model home and found that you love the second-floor layout, but wish you could reconfigure the first floor to accommodate how you live life? Shea3D™ offers three different first-floor options: outdoor, entertainment, and kitchen lifestyles. You can select the first-floor option that best matches your individual preferences. The outdoor lifestyle is for homeowners who feel their outdoor spaces are an extension of interior living spaces. With optimum flow between the kitchen, great room, and dining area, as well as access to the patio, the entertainment lifestyle is perfect for, well, entertaining. Just as the name implies the kitchen lifestyle is all about the kitchen with its large island, ample cabinetry for storage, spacious pantries, and abundant counter space.

What do all these options mean for you? Multiple options mean more opportunities to have the home of which you’ve been dreaming. [read more…]
