Faces of Shea: Meet Tony Lanese, Community Representative at Azure

This month we chat with Tony Lanese, one of the Community Representatives for the newest entry in the Shea Signature™ line: Azure. Tony has been with Shea Homes® for many years, and his easy-going manner and sense of humor makes every interaction a joy.
Tony Lanese - Azure, Paradise ValleyQ: What makes the experience of buying, building, and living in a Shea Home special?

A: At Azure, it has been very special providing our discerning home buyers with the quality, features, and flexibility they want in a new home with the stability of one of the largest privately-owned home builders. We’re continuing the same business principles and customer service the J.F. Shea Family of Companies used in the construction on the Hoover Dam, Golden Gate Bridge, and BART Tunneling projects.

Q: What are the unique selling propositions of your community? What sets your community apart? 

A: I believe it’s having the ability to provide buyers with the options to truly personalize their homes, inside and out! What sets us apart is the attention to detail in the Design and Architecture of every single element that is Azure; allowing home buyers their own private space to add a custom pool and entertain in the privacy of their own backyard.

Q: Tell us about a time you helped a family find their dream home, and what it meant to you.

A: Recently I had a buyer who came out of a custom home she built 19 years ago and provide her with something she didn’t think was possible. A beautiful home she could personalize like she wishes, allowing her the right spaces to entertain her family and all within the Paradise Valley, AZ city limits, something she has always wanted. It’s incredible to be a part of this journey; personally, I think we’ll remain friends forever! 

Q: What community amenity do your homeowners love the most?

A: Customers really like the amazing Outdoor Lounge that provides them a cozy sitting area gathered around a warm gas fireplace with the sounds of our stunning water feature in the backdrop.

Q: What does living the Shea difference mean to you?

A: You become part of the Shea family and are treated like a family member. This is the same for employees and home buyers alike. It’s not a transaction, it’s an experience.

This month we continue our Faces of Shea series with Korbin Brunick, the Community Representative for Vantage. Korbin has been with Shea Homes® for nearly three years and loves going above and beyond for his clients.

Q: What makes the experience of buying, building, and living in a Shea Home special?

A: Honestly, we all have a passion for our guests and customers from the moment they walk through the front door. We are genuinely interested in their wants and needs in a home, as well as their interests and work life.

Q: What are the unique selling propositions of your community? What sets your community apart?

 A: The specific topography and surrounding atmosphere of this community, I think, set it apart from others near-by. Within minutes of walking, you can be hiking or biking in the South Mountain Park, which you can see from a good portion of the community.

Q: Tell us about a time you helped a family find their dream home, and what it meant to you.

 A: We had a customer here who I connected with quickly, who ended up being out of town for a while after their visit. We had spent hours talking on the phone and via FaceTime one day and they ended up pursuing one of the most sought-after locations in the neighborhood. I think what meant the most to me, was the happiness on their face when they walked through the front door. We are now frequently visited by their dog, Tank!

Q: What community amenity at Vantage do your homeowners love the most?

A: The pools without a doubt. The reserve-ready clubhouse and movie theater are wonderful parts of the amenities here, but the two heated pools and hot tub areas are far too serene to pass up, and are active year-round!

Q: What does living the Shea difference mean to you?

A: Living in a Shea home currently, I can certainly testify that the thought process and design in these homes are on a whole new level. There is just a grand usage of all the square footage with very minimal wasted space, and very high attention to detail.

A: The Shea Homes experience is different because our employees are different. We care about our buyers, their families and their experience building with us in our communities.  We have several touchpoints during the building experience to get the buyers excited about buying, keep them updated through the build and help them feel comfortable with their choice to purchase with us.  When a buyer purchases with Shea, they become part of our Shea Family.
