At Shea Homes Arizona, we are all about customer service. We get several calls each day to our Customer Care team about how to do several little projects in and around your home. With use of technology today, we decided to make it a means of communication to our customers. Through video, our customers can actually see how to perform some of these tasks, instead of trying to paint a picture in their head from words exchanged over the phone. It’s simple, quick, and cost-effective!

This video series is all about taking you, step-by-step, through the many tasks it takes to care for your home. Many of these tasks can either seem extremely difficult, extremely expensive or extremely time consuming. In reality, you’ll realize they are quite the opposite. And with our very knowledgeable and friendly Customer Care team on your side, you will be good to go.

Customer Care Connection how to videos will be used for two purposes. The first will be for use on our warranty website, where Shea homeowners can log-in to their personal Shea Homes account and educate themselves on our warranty program, submit warranty work orders, find emergency numbers, and more. Not only that, but if they have questions on how to care for something in their home, these videos will help provide the answers. It’s much quicker than waiting for someone to come out and fix it for you. It’s also more cost-effective in the long-run after warranties expire, since you will have the knowledge to cure the issues on your own. Reason two, is to share our expertise with our followers on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. It’s proof that we are more than just a home builder; we know how to care for the home, how to teach you to care for your home, how to help you with your mortgage and finances, how to design the homes’ interiors with comforting and luxurious features, and most importantly, how to build relationships with our homeowners.

We uploaded our first Customer Care video on Monday, showing you how to change your heating and cooling air vent filters, also known as HVAC filters. Stay tuned for several more videos to come!

The word “service” is never taken lightly with the Shea Homes Arizona Customer Care Team. Their purpose is to enhance people’s lives, and that’s just what they do. Taking quality time to not only teach homeowners how to care for their home, but to build a relationship along the way, is truly the key to this team’s success.

Shea Homes’ 1-5-11 program is a proactive way of performing warranty during homeowners’ first year with Shea Homes. The Customer Care Team schedules three appointments – after 1 month, after 5 months, and after 11 months – from the home’s closing date to make sure everything is up to expectations. If, by chance, something is not performing properly, Shea Homes takes care of it! Everything under your roof can be fixed by this team, and even better, they can teach you some important home care tricks! This way, you’re good to go for years to come. Some of this home care upkeep includes: changing smoke detector batteries; switching out air conditioning filters; caulking cracks throughout the home; caring for windows, garage doors and sliding glass doors; and draining water heaters.

In comparison to warranties on a used or foreclosed home, with Shea homes our warranty program is proactive instead of reactive. Used home warranties can be extremely costly with unreliable warranty teams; and once the warranty ends, house problems most likely continue to pop-up. New home built by Shea have the newest and most up to date materials and products to ensure minimal home concerns for years to come, and with used homes, everything is unpredictable since the care of the home is sometimes unknown.
